Review: All the Colors of Christmas by Matthew Paul Turner

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: I’m a fan of Matthew Paul Turner’s children’s books. Matthew's most recent book, All the Colors of Christmas did not disappoint. 

There are four reasons I loved this book:

1. It rhymes… Yes, actually rhymes. The rhymes in Matthew’s books just roll right off your tongue (something I wish was a given for ALL rhyming children’s books.)

2. It’s clever. It’ll have your kids roaming around your house searching for all the colors of Christmas. And during these days when kids are home ALL the time, these kinds of spontaneous games are helpful for us all!

3. The whimsical illustrations. I mean, come on! Just look at this drawing. It’s beautiful… And it doesn’t just include white people. (Alleluia!)

4. It puts YOU in the Christmas story, which helps kids understand why Jesus’ birth is good news for all people in all places in all times.
